Dropped into Malin Hotel for lunch while touring the Malin Head area of Inishowen and a very good lunch it was. Both snacks and more substantial food was available - I went for beer-battered cod with slaw and fries and my partner went for a ham and cheese toastie. Both were tatsy and good value at €18.00. A special mention... More

We recently attended my son's wedding at the above hotel. Guest list was 250 and I was a bit apprehensive about the size of the hotel i.e. being able to cater for this number of guests. We were absolutely overwhelmed as to how they catered for everyone and the function room was unbelieveable transformed for the wedding reception. The staff... More

I recently had my wedding in the Malin Hotel. It was the best day ever! The Hotel staff, particularly Rina and Anna went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. They helped with every last detail and nothing was too small a task for them. The young waiters and bar staff were also really helpful and friendly.... More

I was in Jack Yeats restaurant on Friday 17th May for a meal with some friends & the food, wine and service was superb. There was a Film Festival on in the town and the atmosphere in the hotel was electric with some fantastic live music in the bar and the function room. If you are looking for a night... More

The Malin Hotel is a quaint, friendly spot with more of an inn feel to it. The decor definitely has a French boudoir feel to it but it still feels very Irish. The staff are friendly without being over bearing and the food is extremely good - both high quality and plentiful. There's a good mix of hotel guests and... More

We attended a family wedding here on the 4th May. It had been some time since we'd been there and the frontage and poor access from the car park to the rear could have been off putting if we had not been so excited by the prospect of my beautiful niece's wedding. Looks can be deceiving and our stay was... More

We had our wedding reception at Malin Hotel in April, and wouldn't want to change a thing. From the moment we decided to go with the hotel, the staff accommodated our every request (including our mad idea to hold a drinks reception on the beach nearby) and were brilliant on the day itself. The food and service was all of... More

We popped in for coffee and ordered a plain scone each. (They had no fruit available). When the scones came they were warm and accompanied by freshly whipped cream, butter and raspberry & strawberry jam. The coffee was great and the scones delicious but the staff were also wonderful. My father and mother were reminiscing about a time they stayed at... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Going through the door, you're greeted by the creme de la creme of local society. In the air, a distinct scent of haute cuisine and sensual traces of eau de cologne. Ah! C'est la vie in le Malin Hotel. Here we do things "la francaise" - food par excellence, rooms au courant. And a great pint, too! Boutique? We created the word! We're your little pied-de-terre and your "moulin rouge" in the midst of the beauty of Donegal. Boudoirs that'll knock your socks off, wine to blow your mind and scenery that'll make your eyes pop. Unique? You can say that again. ... more   less
