We paid 55Euro a night per room - a real bargain. Rooms spacious and yes simple but contained all amenities needed. We were in town to celebrate family members birthday. Twelfth Lock has good pub/restaurant and both real busy with locals on weekend (pub late for guests). We all enjoyed our stay, yes it’s near railway so not a good... more

I'm from the local area so I haven't stayed overnight in this hotel, but I have eaten in the restaurant/bar on several occasions. Most times I would be with friends of similiar age, but on my last visit I went with my family (including 20 month old son). When we got to the restaurant and asked for a high chair... more

I had read reviews about the hotel and the noise prior to staying, but I will try anything once. Price: Worked out £70 sterling for B&B Location: The exterior looks great, nice setting next to the canal and not too far from Dublin Airport. Room: Modern, clean & comfortable. Food: N/A - I ate out at a local restauraunt Drinks:... more

As you approach this hotel it looks stunning, it's set next to a beautiful canal and looks perfect, inside you still feel as though you've hit gold at around £60 per night. However if you need sleep then this is not the place for you. The hotel is situated next to a railway line, I mean next to as in... more

Nice and clean with good-sized room and comfortable bed. Good bathroom and shower cleaned daily. Good breakfast but it is left to yourself to find out times and what you can get. Great location BUT...................... As posted earlier the air-conditioning fans are VERY noisy which kept me awake and also the upstairs cleaning at 2AM with tables and chairs being... more

Stayed here just for one night recently. Interesting property, right on the canal. Nice bar/restaurant area with lovely outdoor space on the canal. When we checked in on the ground floor we were directed down one level to our room which I thought was a bit odd. Room was okay but I found the fact that the "window" was above... more

We stayed for 2 weeks at the Twelfth Lock and found the hotel excellent. It is not run by a huge hotel chain, but is a small (10 rooms) boutique hotel with a fabulous restaurant on one side with a pub on the other side which has an outdoor covered patio. It sits right on the twelfth lock on the... more

Stayed in room 6 on the 26th June 2007 for €125 euros and will never stay again. Railway line and two massive extractor fans outside windows and noise of upstairs overhead. Won't even waste my energy writing anymore. more

The Twelfth Locke Hotel is located in Dublin's Blanchardtown, right on the Castleknock Marina. While it's proximity to Dublin's City Center is a bit far, its quaint charm and friendly staff more than make up for what it lacks in convenience. I originally chose this hotel because of the lovely photos on the site, which did not disappoint and mostly,... more

We used to live in Castleknock and knew the Twelfth Lock as a bar and restaurant. The food is really good and the bar has a lively atmosphere. Staying at the hotel however was a bit of a dissapointment. Although our room was far enough from the bar (we didn't hear any noise from the bar), it was virtually ON... more
