Spotless rooms, tastefully decorated. Friendly proprietor, eager to accommodate special requests. Excellent value for a Dublin B&B. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended. We were attending business meetings the next morning at Croke Park, and the location was extremely convenient (a 2-minute walk away). To anybody wanting to go somewhere, go anywhere exept this place. To start with the owner, balla. The most ignorant person you will ever meet. He comes in at any given time of the night, wakes up guests to ask them if they left the frontdoor open. His son is always around making noise for ten, goes around asking money... more

I cant say many good words about this place. Actually, it was all shockingly bad. Firstly, it was outrageously expensive. As there were no double rooms available anywhere on this occasion, myself and my girlfriend stayed in a single room in this B & B. Villa Materdei is a B&B, located in Drumcondra, a little north of the city centre of dublin. It is on the way from the airport to the city centre. The landlord Mr. Bala is a kind and helpfull man.
