My husband and I just ADORE Renvyle so much so that we went down about 3/4 times last year. It is such a charming spot and located in the most beautiful part of Ireland. While the hotel may be a little dated with regard to bedrooms etc this just adds to the charm. Food is simply amazing and the staff... more

We had a dinner reservation, otherwise we would have fled.Tables untended-not wiped down within the 45mins we sat in the bar. Ladies toilets were atrocious, sanitary products spilling out of bins.Restaurant was good but having travelled such a distance it is not acceptable to be told that we would HAVE to take coffee in the lounge as the needed the... more

I really had a relaxing bank holiday at Renvyle. It is not plush or fancy, but is very relaxed, comfortable and has all the basic comforts in great surroundings. There are numerous bolt holes where you can sit back and relax in the day, such as a nice conservatory that is comfortable even in the howling wind and rain (... more

'You are now entering a stress free zone' , so says the sign at the entrance drive to the hotel, and renvyle house delivers in spades. This is the type of hotel you visit to relax, unwind and enjoy the finer things in life such as fresh sea air, the stunning connemara landscape, beautiful walks, fishing etc and of course... more

I attended a wedding there recently. The location is absolutely beautiful and by and large the service was pretty good, mind you one of the female receptionists was less than helpful to the point of dismissive when we enquired why wedding guests who booked on the Net got a far cheaper deal than those (like us) who phoned in our... more

Thank you for taking the time to place a review for Renvyle House. We are sorry you feel the rate was high – wedding rates are discussed in detail and agreed on well in advance with a bride and groom. It is true (as with most things) prices can occasionally be found lower on the internet but very limited! Please...

This was probably our favourite hotel during our 1 week trip to Ireland. It reminded us of colonial lodges. It has everything. It is great for children, with a playground, outdoor heated pool, childrens meals. It was right on the beach at Renvyle peninsula. The 3 course dinner was delicious, especially the lamb. The hotel has fireplaces filled with peat... more

The food and service were the highlight of our 3 day break in this stunning location, it is unusual to get food of such a high standard in a hotel. We enjoyed the par three golf course and the marvellous walks , the turf fires and totally relaxed athmosphere. The food alone will bring us back, especially the Rack of... more

Renvyle House is the kind of hotel were it doesn't matter if the weather is not perfect because it's equally enjoyable staying indoors in the comfortable and cosy nooks and crannies- cradling a Guinness and a club sandwich in front of the many peat fires. When the weather is friendlier the surrounding countryside is stunning and there is plenty to... more
