The whole area is amazing, the scenery is like nothing on earth. The people are so friendly you don't want to leave, and the ''foreigner's'' were all on great terms with the woman in charge, therese, you couldnt find a nicer holiday spot. There's a local Village Leenaun that consists of 2 pubs, a shop/ post office, a chipper, a cafe, a tourist centre and a craft centre but its the atmosophere and the people that make it! The hostel is about 5km from a shop with a beautiful view on the way, there's a beach not too far away, a scuba dive centre and other activities to join in on. There's also a boat trip up the killary fjord that is well worth a look. I highly recommend Killary as a destination for the whole family, it's everything you need to relax and enjoy yourself! more
