Just back from spending the weekend at the Hazel and I can't express how good it was. We were there as part of a large group and every one though the same. Met one of the owners and the Manager who were extremely friendly and chatted away with all of the guests. We will be returning to Monasterevin next year... More

Stayed at the Hazel last week-end. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly & welcoming. Got a very big room - may have been the honeymoon suite - alas we are long past honeymoon! Food in the bar was excellent, well presented & plenty of it. In addition, the Guinness was just perfect. Would recommend the Hazel.... More

A group of us stayed at the Hazel recently whilst visiting family in Monesterevin. The staff are helpful, friendly, cheerful and they really made us welcome. We came to think of The Hazel as home and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The Hazel is very reasonably priced and offers excellent value .for accommodation, food and drinks; really... We visited the Hazel at the end of July/beginning of August for a family birthday and picked the Hazel as many of our family live in Monasterevin. We were a really mixed bunch of people ranging from 20-70 years old and every single one of us had the time of our lives! From the moment we arrived at the Hazel,... More

I stayed at the Hazel hotel for a wedding recently and found it to be excellent for value and service. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. I think that many more prestigious hotels should think about sending their staff their to learn the true meaning of hospitality. The rooms are clean and adequate for a night away.
