We asked for a non-smoking room, but the room we got smelled badly of smoke. We moved to another room where the curtains were broken and falling down. This was apart form other problems of cleanliness and tidiness. Finally we moved to a nice room. However, there was loud music on downstairs until late. The breakfast was unappetising. Plus side... more

We enjoyed a beautiful stay at Flynns Shannon Key West Hotel, could not have asked for anything more, staff were so helpful, friendly and made our stay very enjoyable, the owner Niall Flynn was also very attentive to all his guests and customers, scanning the bar and restaurant area to make sure everyone was well looked after, making polite enquiries... more

Booked a 2 night stay package, asked for a room at front of hotel, no problem. Room lovely with large king size bed. Bathroom excellent condition and excellant marks for extra large bath sheets. Usually get bath towels but these were much better. Breakfast usual Full Irish Breakfast, no problem when asked for decaff coffee or more toast. Choice of... more

We spent 5 days in August for a family holiday in Roosky near Longford. The GM/owner Niall Flynn was one of the friendliest Men we have ever met. He and his phenomenal team looked after us like no others. The waitress /barmaid Una was just brilliant to the Kids and they loved her! she was always playing with them and... more

we stayed in this hotel at the weekend gone, checking in we were told it was a king size bed in the room, when we got to the room we discovered it was two single beds shoved together, the room was nothing like shown on the web page,, the bathroom was grotty the tiling on the wall was filthy and... more

I stayed in this Hotel in December & i cant fault it in any way, from the food to the staff everything was lovely. Nightly music on Saturdays & Sunday nights. Its only 15 mins drive from Longford or Carrick on Shannon which was great for shopping. Rooms are clean & comfortable. Breakfast was lovely on both mornings. We will... more

Decided to get away for along weekend with husband and our two small children. Sometimes this can mean no rest for mum and dad but on this occasion I have to say that this was not the case. We could not recommend this hotel highly enough. Family room was fantastic and loads of room which in the past in other... more

Food and staff were good but that qualifies Flynn's as a good pub or restaurant not a hotel. The rooms let Flynn's down with a bang, windows that dont open, windows that dont close, curtains falling down, 2 pin power points, shabby, pokey...I could go on. This hotel struggles to be a 2 star. Would recommend for food but not... more

My self and my boyfriend stayed in the hotel for two nights in May while we were attending a wedding in a near by hotel. The staff when we were checking in were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We also had an evening meal on the second night and it was lovely and again the staff serving us... more

The first thing that came to mind when we seen our room was that we had been ripped off by paying too much for such a basic room that definatly had seen better days. some of the lights would not switch off and the shower was in the bath with a curtain that let water all over the floor. we... more
