Overall this hotel isn't that bad. My only problems were that two members of staff, the receptionist during the day (not the lovely young blonde girl) and the woman in the bar. First of all the receptionist - she was just rude and made me feel as if I was bothering her by checking in. I asked about the area... more

This is my second visit to this hotel and as you may see I did enjoy our last one but I have 3 problems with this visit First I would like to say we booked a smoking room and when I asked for a ashtray for the room I were given a scruffy one from the smoking area out side... more

I had the pleasure of staying in the Ashbourne House Hotel for 4 nights through business necessity as I was attending a work related training course in Blanchardstown, North Dublin which I found to be within easy commuting distance from Ashbourne (approx. 20 mins). Although I have been a resident in quite a number of hotels in recent years, I... more

This is a very nice hotel. Clean and confortable and the staff are extremely helpful and freindly. If you are travelling on businss then it's an ideal place to stay as it is only a short drive from Dublin Airport and easy t find and park up. The contrast in prices to the Marriot just a mile up the road... more

This is a reasonable hotel with clean, fresh and sizeable rooms and polite and pleasant staff. The bar is large but cosy and lively and serves meals - I'd recommend the all-day breakfast if you're hungry. There's not a lot to do in Ashbourne, which appears to be a modern expansion of a small village, but it has a good... more

I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel, i intended to stay at the Marriott in Ashbourne but i rang the wrong hotel and made the booking. I had a lovely room on the top floor and dined in their loft restaurant which i have to say was out of this world normally i steer clear of hotel restaurant but in... more

I stayed in the Ashbourne House Hotel for one night only on Sat 2nd June. I was with my daughter and were staying in the hotel as it was close to where a family christening was taking place. One of the lights in the bathroom was not working but as I was staying only for one night I didn't think... more

The hotel has undergone renovations to modernise it. The rooms are average size, with fairly modern neutral decor. Beds are comfortable but nothing special. Bathrooms are a little small and mine only had a shower cubicle, no bath, however i actually prefer this. The shower was the most powerful i have ever had, a little too powerful perhaps as water... more

Only a one night stay but above average food, attentive staff, very good, modern rooms. This hotel is not overpriced and the hotel bar is a lively local meeting place (at least on a Saturday night). Although situated on a busy road, there is a large car park at the rear. Recommended! more
