We decided to break our long drive from Dublin to the Lee Valley in Cork, and chose Richmond House from the great reviews on Tripadvisor. The long, elegant driveway to the House builds your anticipation, and once inside there is no disappointment. Welcoming lounge, spacious but cosy bedroom. The dinner was a revelation. Everything was delicious and the service top... more

We have always enjoyed holidays in Ireland and have tried many of the country houses on offer but without a doubt Richmond House was the best and ticked all the boxes. I have never felt compelled to review a place we have stayed at but we were there for three nights with dinner on each night.and loved every minute of... more

My sister & I arranged a surprise weekend away with our mother who was celebrating her 76th birthday. We wanted somewhere that was equidistant for both of us and finally settled on Richmond House which had been recommended to us. Given that we only booked 2 weeks in advance we felt really lucky to have gotten a vacancy for 2... more

My wife and I were on a tour of Ireland and booked in to Richmond House for three nights. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The ambiance was warm and friendly, the staff were very, very helpful and the food was all you could ask for. All in all Richmond House was excellent value and... more

Just got back from a wonderful stay at Richmond House. The hotel is a beautiful old converted Georgian House-now a b&b. The owners and staff were charming and very helpful - offering lots of advice for places to visit and eat. We are real foodies and were happy to find the restaurant (dinner) served a delicious meal with lots of... more

I would agree with all the positive reviews I have seen of this Hotel. We stayed for one night and immediately felt at home. The room was huge and the meal was very, very good. I will definitely stay here again!!! more

Stayed over the weekend and I would agree that this is a lovely place to stay, and good value compared to what some similar country houses charge elsewhere in the country. We didn't eat dinner, but breakfast was lovely. Also our room was very nice. I wouldn't fault the place in any way. In addition worth noting: - local towns... more

This is a lovely guesthouse in a beautiful part of Ireland. Of course it is a totally different experience from a large hotel, but that's part of the charm. The rooms were cosy, pretty, spacious and comfortable. The hospitality was very warm and friendly, and the dinner was fantastic. We only stopped over for the afternoon and one night, en... more

Richmond House is a large manor house converted to a hotel. There is a world class restaurant on the first floor, along with guest sitting rooms. The grounds are spacious and well manicured, with a croquet lawn outside the front door. Some rooms were nicely appointed, particularly the king sized room on the first landing. more
