We stayed in Marlfield in early June 2009 for my sister's wedding and had a really wonderful time. We took over the entire hotel (there are only about 20 bedrooms) for the Friday and Saturday nights and were really well looked after by the Bowe family (who own Marlfield) and all their staff. Marlfield itself is gorgeous (large Georgian rooms,... more

I really came to try Marlfield because of the food! Checkin was fine. Our room was lovely but small and possibly too cluttered, but then, that is the style of the place. The bathroom is very nice and large. My favourite things were the library bar which is very cosy yet elegant. The service there, by the french waiter was... more

we stayed here for the first night of our honeymoon in april 2004. we had informed the hotel of the occassion. We were disappointed to have a lingering smell of vomit pervading the room, which after many hours we tracked down to the telephone! Our main criticism centres around the rude & unfriendly female owner who was clearly more interested... more

My husband, myself and my mother arrived at Marlfield House in County Wexford on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We were warmly greeted and shown to our lovely rooms overlooking formal gardens and a kitchen garden. Our first venture was to tour this beautiful property. As we arrived downstairs we met Mary Bowe, who owns the property with her husband, Ray... more

My husband and I recently returned from a weekend at Marlfield where we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. What a lovely experience we had there. Overall the weekend was relaxing and luxurious, just what we were looking for! We made the booking on the hotel's own website and were lucky to be able to avail of one of their... more

What can I say? We have been visiting Marlfield House for nigh on twenty years now, and simply love everything about it - the welcome, hospitality, ambience, food, staff value for money etc etc. We have never been disappointed. August 07 our daughter chose Marlfield for her wedding reception, with a marquee in the garden to accommodate all the guests.... more

This was the hgihlight of our 11 day trip through Ireland. The staff was excellent. The rooms were lovely, we had a garden view that was amazing. The food was superb, all vegetables fresh from their own garden. We ate dinner, both nights of our stay, at the hotel and each meal was absolutely delicious. The owner of the hotel... more

As a frequent traveller to the Emerald Isle I have always wished to visit Marlfield House. My trips always seemed to coincide with the Christmas closure of the hotel and restaurant. Imagine my excitement when I managed to get to Co Wexford in July. A very good friend was persuaded to keep me company and the two "Ladies" headed off... more

We had our wedding reception at Marlfield House in May 2007 and the experience was nothing short of magical. The house and grounds are beautiful, and the food absolutely exquisite, but the reason this place is so special is the way we and our families and friends were treated by the Bow family and all the staff of Marlfield House.... more

Beautiful hotel and excellent food in restaurant. Definitely a 5 star for luxurious rooms and fine details. Atmosphere is a bit stiff and makes one feel a little unrelaxed. Great breakfasts in wonderful surroundings. Very international staff. more
