We stayed in the Glendalough hotel for a long weekend, We are a group of friends who enjoy our occasional weekends away and have stayed in a good few hotels. This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The staff are so warm, friendly and helpful, the food is excellent, the hotel comfortable and the location beautiful... more

This is the first time that I have ever had to write a review on a hotel as I am usually fairly laid back and pretty easy to please when it comes to hotels. I am certainly not somebody who nitpicks and always finds something to complain about however; I simply could not let this experience go by without doing... more

This hotel is warm throughout including the welcome and attention which you receive from the staff. It's got everything you need for a wonderful stay in this national park, The Wicklow Mountains. The dining experience reminded us of the quality of food and presentation which you receive on a Cunard liner. Being mid-autumn the colours in the countryside were exquisite.... more

We came to the Glendalough Hotel for a friend's wedding with plans to stay for 2 nights. Once we met the staff, tested the bed, and saw the scenes, we added a 3rd night without a problem. The hotel is older, cozy and perfectly set in the Garden of Ireland at the entrance to many lovely walks in the Wicklow... more

The hotel is in a fabulous location, the staff were friendly and helpful, and also the food was lovely. I have been to a couple of weddings at this hotel, including my own and we had wonderful time. I would definitely recommend this hotel. more

We got married on Friday 11 September and had our wedding reception at the Glendalough Hotel. It really was the perfect venue! The staff were fantastic - they couldn't do enough for us and were so friendly. The meal was gorgeous. Tremendous value! Maureen & Michael more

We stayed for only one night on our way through. The are is wonderful but the hotel very dated. Peeling wallpaper, uncomfortable mattresses, dirty, very uncomfortable. We were three travelers with 3 different rooms and all were horrible. The bathrooms appear to have been updated but that's about it. One of us stayed here 15 years ago and she said... more

We were only here one night - our first night in Ireland - but the hotel was nice. The rooms were adequate and the hotel staff and waitress at breakfast were very friendly. Our only issue was we were still adjusting to the time change and missed the dinner hour and there was no place around to get anything to... more

Our stay was an overnight with an elderly person in a wheelchair - staff were wonderful, very welcoming and helpful . Every part of the hotel we used was wheelchair friendly. Food was excellent. We got great room rates. Only drawback was the weather. more

A most enjoyable time was had by myself an my husband in the Glenalough Hotel for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we felt the homely atmosphere and were made to feel very welcome by reception staff, After reading reviews of the hotel we were not sure what to expect..This hotel oozes character and old world... more
