We've been in Ireland nine or ten times over the years. We always stay in B&B's and on our many trips we've enjoyed a goodly number. We've come back to Eileen Murphy's many times and altogether have there for a dozen nights or more. We count The Orchard among our favorite B&B's in all of Ireland. What's so special? Maybe... more

This was our 3rd visit to Eileen's, and once again it seemed like our home away from home. We had a wonderful time dancing and listening to music at Knockaderry on Saturday night. Upon arrival, we had delicious raisin cake with our tea in addition to friendly and lively conversation. :-) No matter where we're going to be in this... more

Eileen was so wonderful. My mom and I traveled around Ireland through train and bus and sometimes taxi. When Eileen found out that we are traveling through bus to get to her B and B, she offered to pick us up. It was so nice to have that offered. We only stayed there for one night. My mom and I... more

Without a doubt, the best place my family and I stayed on our vacation in Ireland. Eileen was the nicest and most enthusiastic person we encountered on the entire trip. She helped us throughout the stay, even discussing the current situation in American politics later in the night. I hope that we can return there soon. If you are looking... more

We were cycling around in Ireland and stayed on day one and twelve in "The Orchard". The beds were good, Eileen was very nice, breakfast was very nice ( you could chose many delicious things an you could chose for your self if you wanted eggs or/and sausages or/and bacon and how much), the bikes were save at the back... more

We were travelling with our son-in-law and three young grandchildren to meet our daughter, who was sailing into Dublin. We stayed for a few days with Eileen Murphy. She is an excellent hostess and definitely went 'out of her way' to help us. Our hired car broke down at the end of a long journey, luckily only a short distance... more

Eileen is knowledgeable, friendly, and a VERY good cook! She made us feel welcome and comfortable on our first night in a new place. We were traveling with my 80 yr old Mom, and our two sons, ages 14 and 24. My husband and I had our own comfortable room and bathroom, my mother had her own room and bath,... more

If you look up the words hospitality and friendliness in the dictionary and have stayed at 'The Orchard' you will be disappointed not to see a photo of Eileen. Eileen runs a wonderfully warm and cosy B&B and from the moment you've tasted the homemade bread and jam with lashings of hot tea, you'll know you've found somewhere special. The... more

We flew into Shannon Airport late and arrived at The Orchard a bit later than expected. We were tired and a bit stressed (to be expected when travelling with a 2 year old) No worries. Eileen is a phenomenal hostess and made sure my family didn't want for anything. A warm home and comfortable surroundings, Eileen is a fountain of... more

On our first night in Ireland, we stayed at The Orchard on our way down to Killarney. After a long day of travel from Chicago, and the day at Bunratty, then dinner at Knappogue Castle, we met Eileen, our B&B hostess at The Orchard. She was very warm and welcoming. She offered us tea and scones when we arrived which... more
