We went in early September, and purely by chance, for the week of the Jersey Air Show - superb and free.

Apartments are in the old stable block, reasonable - clean and adequate size, the setting is lovely with the Manor House and its excellent gardens. The on site restaurant, open during the day only, is very good.

Need to go into St Helier for restaurants, but a M&S Simply Food about a mile away on the seafront for meals in. more

Samares Manor and Jersey were an unexpected find!

We decided to take our holiday in Jersey as we had to find a destination 'abroad' that we could travel to by sea rather than by air.

Samares Manor Apartments are set in the grounds of Samares Manor (one of Jersey's tourist attractions). The Manor grounds are beautiful and the apartments are set in the old courtyard along with the museum. We had a ground floor 2 bedroom apartment that was adequate in size, had everything we needed and very clean.............our neighbors were the Manors horses!

As we were staying within the Manors grounds we were able to take advantage of walks throughout the grounds when the tourists had left.

Jersey is a very small island wherever you go you can always find your way back to St Hellier! If I had to describe Jersey it would be a cross between Cornwall and France with a small Island feel. Wherever you drive you always end up at a beach or a tourist attraction... more
