My daughter and her family were moving to Jersey so I needed a place to stay nearby to help with the move. The Alister was recomended to me by the Tourist information. It was a great guest house, John and Sandra were very friendly and really helpful. Even though I was on my own I felt relaxed and welcome. My... More

Found Sandra and John to be very hospitable and when in need of advice concerning where best to eat in Jersey, John was the man to ask!! We had a lovely stay in a great little B&B about 10 mins walk from the centre of St. Helier in a quiet part of town that was fabulous value (great full English... More

We had a nice greeting however the owner was rather negative about Jersey and how it is not the place it used to be and all the hotels and guest houses are closing etc, if we had not known Jersey quite well we could have been put off straight away. The plumbing in the bathroom was the wrong way around,... More

Everything was just as a Guest House should be...lovely clean rooms, comfortable bed and marvelous cooking. The breakfast was outstanding. There was such a good choice and it was cooked perfectly. John and Sandra couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We highly recommend this Guest house. Roger & Penny Cumbria More

John and Sandra both very friendly and always helpful and informative. Our room was fine, but our friend's bathroom had rotten window frame, which had been boarded up, and left a lot to be desired. A shame, as otherwise, no complaints apart from the Breakfast CDs. More

pleasant couple as hosts, very informative and helpful with directions etc, and known by everyone we came across taxi and coach drivers etc. My biggest shock was a fellow travellers bathroom- it had a rotten window frame and boarded up window which let in a draft. It looked so awful and I found it really off putting. Breakfast was fried,... More

I stayed here for two nights in August, and will definitely be returning. The staff were absolutely lovely, as were the rooms. Comfortable beds, everything was clean and in good condition. The breakfast was lovely and there is such a range, definitely something for everyone. The location was fantastic too, just a short walk from St Helier from which you... More
