I'm puzzled by the previous review (allwheel, 15 November) because I was there around the same time, also in a room at the front, and I found it surprisingly peaceful! This is an old 'rabbit-warren' type hotel, with very dated decor which is quite shabby and old fashioned in the public areas. The rooms seem reasonably OK, however - I... more

If you are expecting a good night's sleep and rest forget it in this hotel!! I have just got back from 3 nights here, located in one of the front rooms. It has been so noisy that I have got very little sleep. There is no sound proofing or double glazing and this is a very busy street. The curtains... more

My test of a good hotel is whether I would come back - and yes I would to this 3 star hotel. It is in an excellent location not far from the shops (5-10 mins) and seafront (5 mins) walk. The rooms are comfortable and we had a modern 32" flat screen TV. The bed was comfortable but the shower... more

We have just returned from a weekend stay at the Revere & we could find no faults what so ever. The rooms are clean & well furnished, The Hotel atmosphere makes you feel very relaxed & the food & service from all staff was first class. Having stayed in a four star hotel just down the road for the first two days of our stay, we were at first bit aprehensive upon the approach to the Revere, however our fears were soon allayed when we were greeted by very friendly staff and a bottle of champagne in our room left complimentiary to celebrate our silver wedding... more

We stayed at the Revere for 3 nights & couldn't fault it. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great - a buffet that included everything from fruit, yoghurts, cereals, croissants to eggs bacon, sausage etc & you really could set yourself up for the day! Our room was great - spacious with a big bathroom - yes... more

Hotel could do with a lot of TLC, and money spent on it to bring it up to 3* rating that it is. No lift found on our stay and we were on 4th floor!Ground floor very pleasant but the higher up you went it got worse.Beds were awful, apparently not enough spares to change mattress or pillows. They were like... more

We love this hotel and go back every year. It's only a few minutes work into St Hellier, to the sea front, to the bus station. It's not too far to walk back after a night out at Chambers - about 10 mins. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is wonderful. We have not tired the associated resturants... more

Standards have moved on since the seventies. The first night there was the worst of my life. The mattress had died 10 years ago and did not conform to the contract fire regulations ignition source 5 and was of domestic quality. There was very limited ventilation in the room and opening the only openable window was not an option due... more

We returned to jersey for our Ruby Wedding celebration having spent our honeymoon there 40 yrs ago, the hotel we stayed in then is now unfortunately, a block of flats, however, our disappointment turned to pleasure on checking in at the Revere, we had a very memorable time enhanced by the friendly staff and comfortable surroundings, also, a bottle of... more
