I arrived in St Helier by bus with a headache on a cloudy day, exhausted and looking forward to relaxing in a pleasant room. Nothing could have prepared me for the Havelock experience. We entered the outer door to the small porch and were immediately overwhelmed by the stench of damp mould. This did not bode well. We rang the... more

This guest house is far better than these reviews suggest. We had a great week at the Havelock- it has a fantastic location just across from the beach and yet only a 5 minute walk from the centre of St. Helier; indeed the local area has a very cosmopolitan vibe. Furthermore the breakfasts were very tasty with lots of choice... more

I was really looking forward to taking my Mum away for her birthday and Jersey sempt like the perfect choice. After browsing the internet I came across the havelock which looked just the ticket on there website. I was after two single rooms so called up to enquire, I was told by the male owner that he had two single... more

After booking a weekend at the Havelock for myself and my wife I actually found this site with the above reviews and was dreading going because of all the negativity contained in the previous reviews but it was too late asI had already paid so we went with a open mind and hoped to make the most of the stay... more

The Havelock Guest House is in need of an update. My bedroom was a clash of colours and patterns. If a full English breakfast is part of your holiday treat you will be very disappointed. Cornflakes are already in your bowl on the table, there are choices but not easily reached, you will have to squeeze past other tables to... more

Just returned from 4 nights at the Havelock Guest House in Jersey and found it to be just about an average establishment and no more - it has definitely seen better days. It's right on the seafront, which is great, it's very clean, but out of 3 breakfasts served, on two occasions they had run out of baked beans and... more

The Havelock is a lovely (listed) building overlooking the seafront at Havre des Pas in St Helier. It's a quiet, mainly residential Victorian area with a lot of guesthouses and a few restaurants (the Roseville bistro next door is excellent). It's about a 10 minute walk from the main shopping area, 15 minutes from the bus station and waterfront area... more

Arrived at the hotel/guest house and from the outside all looked well, lovely green and white building overlooking the Havre de Pas beach and as we were to have a sea view were initially suitably impressed. Parking is always a problem in St Helier so prepared for a trek to park the car but ended up in a convenient car... more
