I've been going to Guernsey every year for the last 5 and will now not stay in any other hotel. Le Chalet fits my budget perfectly and is one of the few hotels to offer car hire included off season which is a massive bonus. The two guys who run the hotel are brilliant and are genuinely interested in giving... more

We cannot speak too highly of this lovely hotel. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, the staff were very pleasant, and the place itself is charmingly located among ancient oak trees within the shelter of Fermain Bay. And as for the food - ! We ate from the five-course table d'hote menu each evening and... more

We stayed at Le Chalet for 2 nights enroute to Alderney. We were quite late for dinner (which was delicious), on our first night due to the ferry from St Malo, but we were still offered dinner. On our way back from Alderney, we stayed again and we found the courtesy bus really helpful to get us back to the... more

A nicely situated boutique hotel with great service from its British owners. Dining room staff very friendly and helpful, although not fully conversant sometimes with English idioms - my supposedly soft boiled eggs were nearly hard-boiled, for example, and the concept of "brewed coffee" did not exist. No wireless access in the rooms, either, although the governor told me there... more

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff of this pretty hotel. We have just enjoyed a lovely week with our teenage daughters at Le Chalet, enjoying clean, well appointed rooms, friendly staff and guests and excellent food. We opted for b&b so that we had the choice of eating elsewhere if we were out, but ended up most nights... more

We chose this hotel partly because it had such good reviews in Tripadvisor and sometimes that doesn't work out. However, I have to say we were delighted with it. Our room was at the top of the hotel with a view down the valley and across the sea to Sark - with windows that opened out so that there was... more

Found it exactly as others had commented. Lovely setting (wooded valley down to bay with views over to Isle of Sark) and staff who were cheerful and attentive. I would particularly like to thank Ray, one of the owners who was very welcoming and ensured I got a lift to the airport when a taxi couldn’t be found to get... more

The minute you land at Guernsey Airport (which is very good) you are met by friendly and efficient people. This is also true of Le Chalet's reception who were efficient and courteous throughout our stay. Although other reviews have highlighted the dated nature of the hotel, we found this strangely refreshing and many other hotels could learn about service from... more
