I stayed here for 10 days and found the management and staff to be quite friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, every thing we needed was available and if it wasn't, there was someone there to help. On the budget end of the scale this lovely little boutique hotel is a must look at. more

I agree with other reviewers that the accommodation is clean but tired. The bathroom was so narrow that anyone taller than me (and I am short) will struggle to use the wash basin. Towels were clean but very worn. Breakfast was not up to the standard we have seen in other B&Bs. Bread was cheap sliced, poor choice of cereal,... more

The B&B looks small in the pictures and the impression of their website is of a quaint traditional premises, but it is larger than it seems: quite a sprawling place inside and more akin to a (very) budget hotel in atmosphere. The décor is tired and in need of refurbishment, and furniture was cheap flat-pack type stuff. Our room was... more

i have been to guernsey a few times and this is the worst place to stay, try the forresters beside it , 10 times better or la piette next door, up market but worth it. more

Sorry if we had some noisy residents in on your visit. As i don't know the date not sure how to respond to that. The Foresters next door has two bars and good value meals and my Guests frequent it often. They send guests to us. The La Piette hotel does meals and also has two bars which my guests...

This is an economy hotel but was clean and tidy but a little tired. Good service and a very good breakfast. Would recommend if you are looking for a room for less than £100 / night more

Room was clean and comfortable, Staff was friendly and helpful, delicious breakfast, 10-15 minute walk to city center and ferries, 5 minute walk to 12 free hour parking. Free internet use was a nice service. Would suggest that, because hotel is on a very busy street, you request a room not on the front. more

I stayed here in March 2008 and, unlike the other reviewers, I am returning in October. Whilst I found the stairs a little steep, the rooms were fine - no sign of the smells mentioned - with free wireless internet as well which is unusual in such a small hotel. The breakfast was fine. As to the location, you know... more

Very disappointing all round. The whole place looked tired and the decor in need of some serious updating. The bed was comfortable but the curtains were falling off the hooks and the room was very small and smelt a bit musty. The breakfast was virtually the same each day and did not live up to the claims in the brochure... more

Firstly St George's is not a hotel,it is a guest house. If they required a full service then they should have booked a hotel and paid the costs for that service. We do bed and breakfast. Our breakfast is from 7am until 9am. It is an all you can eat buffet breakfast with toast, fruit and cereal juices and porridge....

Horrid place

Shabby, poorly maintained, mile walk to the sights. An odor permeates entire building. Bathroom fixtures rusting out; trails of ants. Manager, Davina, is delightful, but is over-worked. more

We are not a hotel but a Guest House. I cannot imagine which room this guest is talking about, because I truly cannot equate it with St Georges. The only smells I know off are sausages sizzling in the kitchen in the mornings. I cannot think who this person was, although he obviously spoke to me,as he said so. but...
