In the heart of a fascinating historic town, with easy access to all parts of this beautiful island, Moores is the perfect place to stay, Excellent friendly but businesslike service, extremely comfortable rooms and superb food. The newly refurbished Conservatory Restaurant is a must also for non-residents - ambience, service, food are not to be missed. more

Stayed here as part of my UK cycle tour and this hotel I would say is the best I stayed in throughout the tour. Every member of staff I came into contact with was exceptional, their levels of service, friendliness, courtesy and just overall helpfulness was brilliant. Check in was taken care of very easily and with great help and... more

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights per week for 3 months from Jan09 to Apr09 and I am very glad I stayed here rather than other hotels in Guernsey because (1) the very central location is unbeatable for convenience, (2) the reception staff were always very welcoming, addressing me such as "Good evening Mr XXXX", and could not... more

Having always thought of Moores as a businessman's hotel I was really surprised at the lovely weekend we had. My husband and I were given a nights stay as a gift I was pleasantly surprised at this bustling town hotel and how well the staff looked after us. There is no car park on site but this is not a... more

Avoid room 301 - we asked to be moved as we could not sleep due to the noise of the air conditioning fans near the room window. Staff were very helpful when contacted on the matter. We stayed for 7 nights on a B&B basis. The hotel is very central and somewhat old style with senior clientele. Breakfasts were good.... more

I am a Guernsey girl returning for a short break to visit friends. My husband and I stayed for three days in November 2007. Firstly the location is fabulous because of the central position. Everything is within walking distancek - great. But.... I feel that the hotel is sitting on its lorels because of this location. It is very much... more

Smoking is still permitted in the hotel rooms and even though I booked a non-smoking room, the room stank of stale cigarettes. There was no toilet paper and the TV reception was fuzzy. The curtains didn't fit the windows properly and my room overlooked a shopping street with fats/offices above so I had to hide to get dressed! The restaurant... more
