We were upgraded for free by the hotel from a Superior room in the new block to their one Suite, which was really great. All the superior rooms on this top floor have fabulous views and during our 5 day stay we had great weather, so this obviously helped! I agree that everything is good about this hotel. I spent a night here last year and was very impressed. Our room was fantastic, large, clean, nicely decored (and including an ipod dock) and with a sea-view balcony overlooking the town (the hotel is perched on a hill close-by). I stayed here for a family weekend recently. The restaurant was good, although our breakfast orders were muddled, despite the waitress' best efforts. We stayed in one of the older rooms. The room did have an amazing view. Ours however seem to have been updated in a halfhearted fashion and the bathroom in particular was dated and not what one... more

This place has recently been renovated, so on the whole it is probably the best option in Guernsey.
