We had not intended to stay at the Imperial but were refused entry to another hotel, having booked seven months previously, owing to the presence of 60 children!! and were transported here until they had left. We cannot thank them enough for the kindness and support they showed us at a most difficult start to our holiday, arranged through an... more

The Imperial Hotel occupies a great location, with many rooms offering wonderful views of the adjacent coastline and out to sea. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is substantial, well prepared and served-up in a pleasant room, again offering sea views. There are ample parking facilities, both in the Hotel's own car park and outside the... more

Stayed one night in this hotel located on the west coast of Guernsey. Location is very nice, directly on the beach in a very big bay. Concerning the hotel by itself: it is not a new one, and it is quite obvious when you enter in you room ! The rooms are clean, but everything seems to be 20 or... more

This is a 2 star rated hotel. The best thing about the hotel is the views which are lovely. The place itself is shabby and could do with some tlc. Our bedroom was clean but small and the bathroom just had a shower and a tiny, tiny sink.It overlooked the back of the hotel but at least it was quiet. We... more

This hotel was booked for us as present for our first Wedding Anniversay. The views from our room were amazing as we were overlooking the bay and the service and food were wonderful. The bathroom in our room did need a little TLC but the views from the bedroom definately made up for it. The hotels location was suberb with... more

We go for walking holidays on Guernsey every few years. We chose the Imperial because it is perfectly placed at the western end of the south coast coastal path. We had a second floor room with an excellent sea view. The room was not perfectly clean on arrival, but as we were early, possibly cleaning had been hurried to accommodate... more

My wife and I stayed for 10 days at The Imperial. The location is right on the bay and superb, try for a room with a sea view, it is better than the TV. Food was good with a choice of restaurant or pub, a lot of locals seemed to use it, so that is a good recommendation. The staff... more

Anniversary Trip 10-17 April 2007 I had spent a break in this hotel 6 years ago with my mother, as she had been there on her honeymoon in 1947 and my husband and I decided to return to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. We wanted a relaxing week, no pressures, good food and walks on the island where we spent... more

My husband, daughter (15) and I spent 5 nights at the Imperial as my daughter was on a mid-term break we decided to go somwhere different. After some surfing we came accross this hotel and whilst there was only one bad report on Tripadvisor we decided to go ahead. We got a great deal which even included a free car... more

we booked our holiday in June of 2006 during a particularly bad year thinking a break at Christmas would help cheer us up. The Christmas lunch consisted of processed turkey, plated up with hot gravy, frozen veg including 2 brussell sprouts cooked for the same period of time as peas. This was produced on a tea plate with 2 new... more
