Another fine North Devon golfing break with accommodation provided by the George Hotel. Rooms basic, but always clean. Breakfast a gourmet delight and the staff always helpful and friendly. Thanks to everyone at The George.

Ate here for lunch opting for Thai as pub food didn't seem that appealing. Good choice on thai and reasonably priced. On entering ordered coffee which was fine and then ordered food which was very good however the George lets it self down by terrible service, could hear bar staff gossiping behind bar while waiting for food, waitress not very... The location, in the centre of Braunton, is excellent, for both business and tourism. The Hotel has a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, in particular one feels quite comfortable relaxing in both the Dining and Bar areas, even when sitting on one's own.
