The staff at the hotel were generally friendly. this was probably the hotel's best point (as well as the view, of course). The public areas were generally very dated and tired looking. Our room was very old fashioned and in desperate need of a re-vamp. The food was OK but nothing special, especially breakfast which I thought was disappointing. more

I stayed one night in November, and was told on arrival that I'd been upgraded to a sea view room. This proved to be on the second floor, up some steep stairs, and with no lift, unfit or elderly guests would find the climb testing. We stayed on one of the Ocean View/ Balcony rooms over the weekend. The Hotel itself was fine, the food very good, friendly staff...BUT....the bar is directly beneath the Ocean View rooms, the balcony above the Terrace area.
