Great place for week-end break, just relaxing and enjoying the views from the farm & meeting the friendly dogs and horses. Several circular walks possible from the farm up through woodland or over the Culm valley to the Culmstock beacon. Excellent farmhouse breakfast delicious free range eggs. Really comfortable beds in lovely en-suite rooms all very clean and very cosy.... More

We stayed one night recently at the farm. Lucinda and Sarah looked after us very well. Great food for tired travellers; a gentle touch. Highly recommended and we will call again. More

Relaxing, welcoming and a legendary breakfast. There are few who know the equestrian business as well as Lucinda. Lovely break - Memorable! More

With a very warm welcome, we were shown into the B&B wing of the character oozing thatched house and could immediately feel the underfloor heating through the large slate flooring of the reception room. Usual amenities were present but with more of a sense of luxury, than previously experienced elsewhere. There are two new bathrooms which are fitted out again... More

Bowhayes Farm is a wonderful devon countryside retreat. Coming down from London we really needed a place to escape the 'big smoke' and Bowhayes was the perfect answer! This beautiful thatched b&b is set on its own private grounds with fantastic views over the valley. With horse paddocks to the front and woodland to the rear the possibility of walking/hiking... It is a working farm with horses (riding is available apparently) and friendly dogs. The rooms are recently refurbished with newly-built bathrooms (local goats milk soap was thoughtfully provided). The guests have their own sitting... More
