Great place, old world charm with modern, clean twist. Food very good, service too. We live in London, but this is eyewateringly expensive. Worth it? Yes. Only downside for this money is a very limited dinner menu, with just three items on both courses.

We really enjoyed dinner here, the menu is interesting and the staff are attentive. However the bedroom is overpriced and the macerator toilet in the small shower room is noisy. Would recommend dinner here.

Lovely restaurant, great food but let down by a room that doesn't really warrant such a high price tag. The french manager Herve was absolutely fantastic, very friendly and could not do enough for us and is certain to put this place on the map.

Potential, and website was what drew us here, rather than more corporate hotel 30 metres away. Waited ten minutes at reception, despite ringing bell and phoning. Room lovely, bed very comfortable and king-sized. Shower/toilet room tiny, with part-used toiletries, v wobbly loo seat and noisy macerator whenever tap turned on. In Chagford 5th October we decided to have at lunch 22 MIll St on a rather rainy day. We were welcomed by a very personable Frenchman called Herve in the lovely surroundings of the restaurant. Karla was a great host, friendly and made our stay here feel special. Ashley's food was amazing and we both enjoyed our taster menu, being one of our favourite meals/experience's to date. The area was stunning and had a lovely time wandering around the local shops. We really enjoyed our break and would certainly come back again. Thankyou :)
