Well what can I say. Have visited the Hunters Inn last week after a day out in Lynmouth. Looking forward to a drink and a nice meal. Had a nice pint of Exmoor and then a game of pool, there was six of us and we selected a table for a game of cards and maybe more, HOWEVER when I... More

Thank you for your comments regarding our wifi. Due to the distance from the Parracombe exchange we are the last building that is able to recieve broadband and the speeds of the is not very fast. Our hotel customers, credit card machines, till systems, on line booking diaries all use the bandwidth that we recieve. When we have allowed all... More

Delightful setting on the Heddon's River, half a mile off the SW Coast Path. I didn't intend to stop here, but my sore knee needed some rest, so took a chance that they had a vacancy. Soaked in a lovely hot bath. Sweet, sickly-smelling bath gel, so guys, bring your own soap. No shampoo. No cup, saucer or spoon, only... More

This is an amazing spot for a walk and a spot of afternoon tea or a pint. There's a great NT car park and shop nearby and the walk down to Heddon's Mouth is brilliant and well worth the trip. The hotel itself has a lovely front patio and beautiful gardens at the back - perfect for a rest stop... More

We booked our Bank Holiday weekend for different reasons, I thought Romantic Weekend away he thought Surfing. Ended up both (but tiny surf). However we enjoyed our time at this hotel so much that we struggled to leave. The staff, food and ambiance were all truly amazing. Our room was a surprise in that it was at the very top of... More

We had an amazing peaceful weekend at The Hunters Inn. We were made very welcome and waited on hand and foot. Our room was spacious, warm, very clean and comfortable. The food was to die for, we start our diet next week! This was our fourth trip back and still cannot find fault with the place. We will definitely be... More

Visited the hunters inn expecting to order lunch but greeted by a paper sign stating no food after 1pm due to a wedding party at 3pm. It was just before 2pm so we ordered a drink and crisps but were hard pressed to find a seat because the staff were removing the chairs for the wedding event. However, imagine my... More

Thank you for your comments regarding last Saturday. Our General Manager, having had complaints, on Trip Advisor, about slower service to members of the general public whilst we hosted another wedding decided to finish food early so as to concentrate on the 100+ wedding meals. In a previous review a customer suggested just serving the wedding and closing to the... More

Visited Hunters Inn with my elderly aunt and really enjoyed our lunch. The view from the dining room down the valley was absolutely stunning, my aunt loved it and the staff were helpful with the wheelchair etc. The food was good pub food - the chips were fabulous!! Highly recommended and the walk down to Heddons Mouth is a delight... More

A wonderful building in an amazing corner of Exmoor. Having previously eaten at The Hunters Inn and finding the food and service acceptable we decided to book a table for a special occasion. Our simple request for a table in the restaurant with a window view being accepted on booking. We arrived at the stated time, to a fairly busy... More

Thank you for your comments. I can only apologise that some guests sat at a table we had set for you, we had put your name on the table; however the people claimed that they had booked it. It was only after they had started their meal that it transpired that they were 'mistaken'. My staff set another table for... More

We approached this hotel along the coast path and felt like the hobbits approaching Rivendell as we walked down the hillside along the valley with spectacular views in every direction and the sound of running water below. The welcome from the hotel owner (David) was warm and friendly. He provided ice for our walking wounded. The rooms are gorgeous and... More
