Walking the coast path from Salcombe to Torcross found this B&B from the helpful Kingsbridge tourist information office. To describe Linger Lodge as eccentric would be unfair and might put you off - don't be put off it's in a fabulous location and refurbished to a very high standard. David & Christine Ley are mine hosts and incredibly welcoming and entertaining - Christine having been in show-business and David a sailor on the high seas.
It's very spacious and the rooms are top quality. The eccentric bit is the name of the place and it's unique selling point - "Truly a place to Linger" - the Linger Lodge with the Linger Longer Lounge, Linger Longer Bedroom and the Linger Longer Lawn. It's got 2 bedrooms and an appartment - all pristine condition and comfortable. Breakfast good. The Leys very accommodating and supply their own built in entertainment.
