We stopped off at the Lifton Hall Hotel for lunch on a return journey from Cornwall. We had our 2 year old daughter with us, but the staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The roast lunch was excellent and very good value. We will definitely stop there again. more

We booked into Lifton Hall by chance and we were pleasently surprised to the warm friendly welcome and enviroment we enjoyed. The owners have created a stylish and relaxing environment within a beautiful 16C building. There appear to be 4 maitre-d's, each equally attentive and charming. We had a soft spot for Robert who runs the kitchen and consistently delivered sumptious cuisine and sparkly wit. The ambience of the bar (with sun-trap terrace) is a big bonus. We took a long weekend break at Lifton Hall on a half board basis. The rooms was clean and fairly average in quality but did have everything you needed such as tea/coffee making facilities, tv, shower, alarm and fan which we really needed on the very hot weekend that we stayed.
