We have just spent a brilliant weekend staying in the lovely beach house annexe of Victoria House. Everything was perfect - the hosts were really welcoming and friendly, ready to do anything for us but without being at all intrusive. The accommodation is very comfortable - lovely and warm despite low night-time temperatures outside! The view from the room is... More

My partner Ben and I stayed recently at this fantastic bed and breakfast. We also came for Valentine's day last year and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the boathouse which is secluded and private with stunning views across the sea. Heather and David were extremely kind and accommodating, no request was too small and the breakfasts were great... More

We booked this b&b as it seemed so unique and beautiful from the pictures. And we were impressed with the amount of positive feedback on this website. We were definitely not disappointed. Waking up in egyptian cotton sheets in our own little beach house. The sounds of the wind and sea outside but we were warm and cosy inside. And... More

Our stay at the Beach House was brief and unpleasant. The website promises a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with breakfast served until 11am. The Beach House is priced at £115 per night, even in the off-season. We had paid a one-night deposit prior to arrival and were booked for a two night stay. As seasoned travellers, we had reasonable expectations... More

We have very few policies which our guests must comply with in order to ensure professionalism on our part and the comfort and safety of our other guests. Rarely, a guest cannot follow these simple rules and, unfortunately, we must ask them to leave so that our other guests (who can follow these policies) can enjoy a first class experience... More

Yet another wonderful stay with Heather and David in the main house. Every detail thought of and such luxurious comfort. Waking up to see the sea and overlooking Morte point I could never tire of. When the sun is shining there is nowhere in the world I'd rather be! Breakfast as ever should be Michelin starred, fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt... More

We stayed the Beach House which has magnificent view. The village at the top of the hill is lovely and you have walks right in front of the house. You do have a lot to choose for breakfast and the owners are helpful and friendly, if not a little much patronising in my opinion. Although it is a very lovely... More

We booked an overnight stay on a the spur of the moment and were so happy with our choice as soon as we arrived. The Beach House is absolutely lovely, glorious views and made to feel most welcome. Breakfast was excellent and we were spoilt for choice. We will definitely go back More

We stayed here for our honeymoon in 2010 and again for our first wedding anniversary. Everything is still as amazing as before, from the breakfasts to the homemade cookies Heather and David do not fail to disappoint! Can't wait to stay again More

We stayed at Victoria House the night of our wedding at the nearby Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe. Heather was so obliging, letting us drop our honeymoon bags and the car off at our convenience. The place is absolutely amazing and was a perfect end to a wonderful day. Our taxi dropped us off around 1am and we snuck up stairs... More

The only good thing on our day of leaving was the foggy weather - it made us less sad... Victoria House is wonderful, pretty much everything has been said already so I will cut it short. We stayed in the Boathouse and loved the private atmosphere, still closely connected to the house itself. Everything is speckless clean, Heather and David... More
