We just spent three nights here over the bank holiday and will definitely be returning for the following reasons:

1. It's dog friendly and that doesn't mean horrible accomodation as your dog is in your room (like many establishments).

2. The location is superb, right on the village green with an extremely friendly locals pub right next door.

3. Accommodation is clean, well appointed and not tired and chintzy.

4. Breakfasts are great and they try to use local product wherever possible.

5. Robert and Linda are wonderful warm and friendly hosts.

6. Shaldon is a relatively undiscovered gem with good pubs, food and wonderful walks inland and coastal.

7. You can leave the world behind and that includes your car! more
