This was ok. I'm sure there are much nicer local alternative's though so only stop of if your dog tired. The Highway Man pub in Storuton is worth a vist though and I did have a nice view of North Devon form my window. Travelodge reallly need to divorce themselves away form Little Chief though as this one was terrible.... more

This was a nice little Travelodge perfectly placed of the A30. Great if your tired and need a stop. I had a fantastic view from my north facing window not something that you usually write when commenting on a Travelodge. I agree it's a bit lonely and I would advise you to go stay at Whiddon Down further down the... more

Before I start, there absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel. It's a basic no thrills, no wow factor Travelodge. It's a little bit tired and needs a good refurbishment but it's clean and fresh. The one thing I hated about it (as a solo traveller away on business) was that there is just absolutely nothing to do in the vicinity.... more

Having stayed in a few Travelodges this one was the most tired and in need of updating. However, it was clean and cheap. A little too in the middle of nowhere for my liking, but a useful stopping point to break up a long journey. more

We were attending a party about 20 minutes away and the B&Bs varied from £85 up to £130+. at £59 it was reasonable, although no breakfast included. There is a Little Chef over the road, if you want to re-mortgage your house for the Olympic Breakfast. The hotel is pretty depressing from the outside, but inside its OK. Smells a... more

Needed to break journey towards Cornwall & the Eden Project. Taking along elderly parent, looking for basic cheapish accomodation. Travelodge served purpose, clean enough, and rooms were warm enough for November. The Little Chef next door, is something out of the 1960's except the prices. nearly £4 for a bap/egg & bacon is a bit steep. The decor is almost... more

This hotel is ideal for a stop over on the way to your destination but not to stay for any period. We stayed for two days and the rooms are clean and basic with tea & coffee making facilities and a TV in each room. The location is good a short distance from the highwayman pub (strangest pub in Britain)... more

I've used several travelodge hotels over the past few years and have always found them to be consistently average. This hotel successfully reinforced that view. The good points are that the bed is comfortable, there are plenty of pillows, the price is (usually) reasonable (£26 in this case), the bathroom is adequate and there is in most cases plenty of... more

We stayed at the Travelodge Okehampton Sourton Cross for one night in December 2006. The hotel is in a convenient location for an overnight stop en route to Cornwall, just off the main road. The hotel is small and on a site with Shell petrol station and a Little Chef. The rooms are of a reasonable size, but a little... more

I stayed for one night at this hotel on the 15th September. The hotel is very easy to find and is just off the A30. On arrival I found the staff to be extremely friendly and after checking in I was asked if I could complete a quick survey for which I was given a £10 voucher off a future... more
