This hotel is going through refurbishment. Those rooms which have been upgraded are ok. Those which have not are appalling and nowhere near entitled to the star rating the hotel boasts. We've been going to the Thurlestone for years and would recommend it to anyone. The facilites continue to improve and there genuinely is plenty to appeal to people of all ages - It is great for families but that doesn't mean it is just a family hotel. The staff are help and nice (enthusiastic amateur). The breakfast was comprehensive and good quality. Apart from the new pool area everything stopped at this hotel somwhere in the late 50's or early 60's.
