My partner and I chose Hornhill and Tiverton as our base on a mini tour of Devon; this was a great decision as the B&B is more than lovely and the owner and her family are so welcoming.

The great thing about Hornhill that it is set at the top of a hill, far away from noise, so you get the feeling of being in the country. However, the actual location of the property is three minutes away from Tiverton town centre, the best of both worlds in our opinion!

The bedroom we stayed in had a four-poster bed and was decorated very faithfully to its' era. The bathroom is located in the corridor, I was not particularly concerned about the lack of en-suite in this period of property.

The breakfast was an array of cereals, fruit and a full english (though there were other choices, if requested). The dining area is a large room at the front of the house with a large dining table, so guests eat together which was unusual for us, but we enjoyed chatting with another... more
