Arrived dripping wet on our bikes which were promptly accommodated in the garage. Welcomed in and shown to our light, bright well furnished room. Our hosts were unfazed by us dripping as we entered. An excellent, quiet night and then an excellent breakfast!

Spent two days in this wonderful B&B. Keith and Cilla were very welcoming, knowledgeable about the area. The whole house was extremely tastefully decorated, all furniture and fittings were good quality. The location of the property is in close proximity to the beach which can be seen from the balcony in all rooms together with a wonderful vista. The all... More

We stayed at Downland House for 2 nights in August and were pleasantly surprised with the standard of accommodation. The rooms all had a balcony with amazing sea views. The rooms were immaculately clean and had lots of lovely finishing touches such as a wine cooler! The accommodation is only a few minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and beach... More

We stayed in Downland House for two nights in July 2012. Downland House is a lovely, large Edwardian House, just a very short walk from the centre of Woolacombe. It has 3 bedrooms, all with balconies, and all facing the sea. The owners have previously run a larger hotel in Woolacombe and bought this house only a year or so... More

We stayed here for one night following a wedding reception. What a great choice! Downland House is the best B&B we have ever stayed at! Clean, a lovely large, bright room, and all very tastefully done. It can't come more highly recommended. The couple that run Downland House were friendly and helpful and are clearly doing an excellent job. It... More

What a great place to stay. The service was friendly and polite, the breakfasts were tasty and filling (and held in a lovely conservatory each morning) and the room was fantastic. The room was clean, tidy and filled with bright sunshine. Not only did we have a great view directly onto the beach from the window, but we also a... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and we had a lovely stay. The bed was so comfy and I loved the decor of room 3 and the big fluffy towels were fab. The breakfast was really enjoyable, in fact I think it's one of the best I have had. We would definetly stay there again.
