My husband and I have just returned from our second short stay at Wheelwrights. The host and hostess Sue and Nigel have inadvertently become friends in our eyes. They are absolutely perfect in every way - friendly, professional, knowledgeable, patient, hospitable, and the most lovely genuine people you could wish to stay with. We stayed in their converted wheelwrights workshop... More

We were looking for a B & B for the August Bank Holiday weekend and boy, did we find it. Tucked away in a quiet peaceful setting, this single unit was everything we wanted. Nigel and Sue were so friendly and knowledgeable, couldn't do enough for us. The room was spacious and the bed enormous. So much to choose at... More

I came down with my husband for a wedding in Abbotsbury and we found Wheelwrights on the internet. We really enjoyed our stay there are wished we could have stayed longer. Nigel and Sue were really friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, it's so quiet that we had a wonderful nights sleep. In the morning breakfast was wonderful -... More

What a lovely place to stay. We booked the day before as a last minute as the sun was shining and found this a perfect stop to explore the beuatiful Dorset coast. The village is also beautiful and well worth exploring. Wheelrights lived up to the expectations we had having read previous reviews. We were greeted with a warm welcome... More

My boyfriend and I loved Wheelwrights. Nigel and Sue greeted us with a lovely cup of coffee and soon we were chatting away as they were such a interesting and friendly couple. The room is fantastic - clean, really quiet and you have your own key so can come and go without disturbing anyone. The bed is huge and so... More

The excellent reviews below truthfully reflect this accomodation. Congratulations to Sue & Nigel on combining the luxury and privacy of a small hotel with the warmth and helpfulness of a B&B. Faultless. More

Nigel and Sue have only the one unit - easier for them to spoil you.... and they do. They are so sweet and caring ....... and interesting ..... and knowledgable. No need to detail the quality of the accomodation - all up to that same high standard. More

It's very easy to miss this superb B&B as it is tucked neatly behind Wheelwrights Tea Room. On arrival we were greeted with offerings of cream tea (all homemade baking) and a detailed guide of Abbotsbury and its offerings. The room is accessed through the rear garden - wonderfully overgrown - and off street parking is provided as well. Originally... More

We set up base in the charming (no street lighting here thank goodness) village of Abbotsbury as part of a walk from Weymouth to Burton Bradstock following the Fleet behind Chesil beach along the South West Coastal path. Wheelwrights' is quiet, private (you have your own access via the lovely garden) and has very well laid out and spacious accommodation... More

If you are seeking peace and quiet, choose this b & b which consists of one modern room tastefully carved out of a thatched barn. The thick walls and thatch mean you are undisturbed by the outside world, and the lovely breakfast -- remember this is a tea room -- means you start the day with a smile. The owners... More
