Nigel and Sue have only the one unit - easier for them to spoil you.... and they do. They are so sweet and caring ....... and interesting ..... and knowledgable. No need to detail the quality of the accomodation - all up to that same high standard. more

It's very easy to miss this superb B&B as it is tucked neatly behind Wheelwrights Tea Room. On arrival we were greeted with offerings of cream tea (all homemade baking) and a detailed guide of Abbotsbury and its offerings. The room is accessed through the rear garden - wonderfully overgrown - and off street parking is provided as well. Originally... more

We set up base in the charming (no street lighting here thank goodness) village of Abbotsbury as part of a walk from Weymouth to Burton Bradstock following the Fleet behind Chesil beach along the South West Coastal path. Wheelwrights' is quiet, private (you have your own access via the lovely garden) and has very well laid out and spacious accommodation... more

On our travel through the South of England from Dover to Penzance we had a short stop in Abbortsbury. We explored the really best English cream tea, the nicest garden (not the subtropical gardens but the Wheelrights tea rooms!) and the most amiable Mrs and Mr Melville. They have created a B&B room together with the professionel designing help of... more

My partner and i stayed at Wheelwrights for 2 nights during May bankholiday. The room was excellent, fully modernised with an en-suite and small kitchen. There was a combi boiler in the bathroom so hot water was available at all times. The bed was huge and very very comfy. The breakfast was brilliant, my girlfriend and i couldnt move after... more

We had stopped for a scone at the café (lovely food, all freshly baked on the premises), and mentioned that we were looking for accommodation, so it was serendipitous. We were only the second guests to stay at this newly refurbished double (or twin, the two twin beds zip together to provide an absolutely huge double bed with no perceptible... more
