Dave has had many wonderful reviews and I endorse them all. A great host who made us feel very welcome. We stay in a lot of B&B's and this one had the best breakfast ever! The room was spotless and everything we needed + was provided. Of course, the fantastic location made it all special. Well done Dave!

We stayed four days in August at Wisteria Cottage. It was our second time there. The rooms are small but comfortable and tidy and provide a stunning view over the valley. Dave provides a very tasty breakfast, we can recommend not only the hand-made muesli. And he has a lot of tipps what to do in the surrounding countryside and... More

We stayed here at the start of our self-drive tour of England - and it set the standards for the rest of our journey! The location of the cottage provides for amazing views over the "shire" below, while the cottage itself is positively charming. Though small, every little detail has been thought out and we spent a warm and cosseted... More

Stayed for 2 nights @ Wisteria Cottage over the Diamond Jubilee w/e. Absolutely superb. Dave is a fabulous host, relaxed, friendly and genial. He has two rooms, ours looked north over the surrounding countryside. Quiet and tranquil, with comfy beds and cosy bathroom. Super soft towels and smooth bedlinen, nothing is tacky or cheap. Dave has thought of everything from... More

We stayed at Wisteria Cottage in July with my parents who were over from South Africa. We wanted to show them Dorset, and Wisteria Cottage was in the perfect location to get to all our favourite places. It is in a great spot, with beautiful views, and is easy to get to. Dave, our host, was fantastic! He made the... More

Dave is a terrific host - in fact we could not find ANYTHING he had forgotten. Even down to the Lemsip in our rooms! His breakfasts would make a 5 star hotel shudder and his home baked bread well words fail us. As we left he said the rooms were free tonignt - talk about temptation!

I have just returned from an extremely enjoyable few days' stay at Wisteria Cottage. The friendly, helpful and informative host, Dave, has obviously put a great deal of thought into what makes a quality B+B, and for me this ticked all the boxes -- with all the things you would hope for (a high level of comfort, excellent facilities, a... Fabulous location, every comfort thought about in the rooms - more than you typically get in a B&B. Dave has written a thorough and clear guide to the area with some excellent walks.

I needed a complete break and boy did this guest house fill the slot. Beautiful location, excellent host and well appointed rooms. Short driving distance to many locations and attractions but just wandering locally around the narrow early summer lanes really fitted the bill. The view from the top of the hill was just amazing...big skies like David the owner... More
