Les Bouviers is situated at the end of a leafy road in Dorset and opens up with beautiful grounds and a lovingly restored house making a small but exquisite hotel with a five star restaurant . Without doubt, the restaurant served up the best food I've had in ages. The bedroom was lovely bar the squeaky floorboards and although we could hear voices from the room next door, the bed was so comfortable that it didn't put me off my sleep! The team at this hotel were very friendly and the service was excellent. The room was compact, (we booked the smallest), spotlessly clean and the bed was very, very comfortable with lovely linen. The food was great and expertly presented and we hope to back for a longer break another time. more

I came across Les Bouviers by accident on a recent trip to the UK...it's about 90 miles outside of London near Bournemouth. What a great accident this turned out to be. Disappointed by its location - gave the impression of a small country house hotel but can confirm it is just off a main road. reminded me a bit of Fawlty Towers' "gourmet night"". staff not very welcoming. food good but expensive for what it was. This establishment would be great if it tried to be less stuffy. more

The last couple of reviews of this ‘restaurant with rooms’ were somewhat negative. Perhaps Les Bouviers is a little pretentious; no harm aspiring to make your establishment in the image of what a good hospitality business should be.
