Spent weekend here with dinner both nights and it was a wonderful experience. Marlagh Lodge is a beautifully restored house with great attention to detail, lovely spacious bedroom and restful drawing room, all tastefully decorated. The food is amazing, both breakfast and dinner and so nice to adjourn to drawing room after dinner for coffee. Robert and Rachel are terrific... more

I had a great stay at Marlagh House. The house is beautifully decorated throughout, with very comfortable and spacious bedrooms. The owners, Robert and Rachel goes out of their way to make you feel at home, without being overbearing. They cook an excellent breakfast with a big choice, and also do a perfect cup of tea!! I loved staying at... more

We stayed 1 night at Marlagh Lodge, the room was beautiful and spacious, as was the rest of the house and we were very well looked after by Robert the owner. Definately worth paying that little bit more for. more

We stayed at Marlagh House for 2 nights, having dinner on both nights, and had a wonderful time. The house itself is fabulous, a victorian house sympathetically restored. Everything was pristine, though with a comfortable ambience that made us feel very much at home. Our hosts, Robert and Rachel, were very friendly and helpful. Having gone the wrong way on... more

I only had a flying visit to a friends wedding so hardly spent any time here as it was not the purpose of my trip. But even in a very short space of time I completely agree with all the positive reviews on here. If I were to return to the area I would certainly stay here. Massive rooms and... more

What a great experience. This was our first trip away with our 5 month old baby and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The house itself has been beautifully restored with an amazing collection of antiques. The hosts (Robert and Rachel) were exceptionally friendly and as stated in the other reviews the food was of an excellent... more

I stayed at Marlagh Lodge for a few nights while on holiday in Northern Ireland, and can highly recommend it for those looking for a very comfortable B&B with wonderful evening meals. Central location is great for transport links, Belfast, Antrim glens and Causeway coast, and house has lots of character and has been sympathetically done up; atmosphere very welcoming... more

Thanks for such a good review! We really appreciate all feedback as it helps us to evaluate what we provide for our guests. We will certainly do something about the Chintz Room window - although there is already a roman blind to protect your modesty and metal bins will replace the plastic ones. The washbasins in the rooms, however, were...

A beautiful newly restored Victorian era house, wonderful breakfast and dinner. Clean, spacious rooms and gracious hosts. Although there was a mixup in our reservation, the Thompsons went out of their way to accomodate us and make our stay pleasant. more

My husband and I, together with a friend, spent two nights at Marlagh Lodge in May. Ballymena is the perfect location for touring the Northern coast of Ireland and Marlagh Lodge was a great choice.. Robert and Rachel couldn't have been more welcoming and charming and their beautifully restored home is gorgeous. We both had very spacious rooms with comfy... more

We arrived following a long drive, and were warmly welcomed, shown our room [of that later] and served very welcome cup of tea, homemade shortbread biscuits and fudge, served in a most elegant, well proportioned and beautifully furnished drawing room. Our room [The chintz bedroom], was spacious, & included a sitting area, a most comfortable bed with luxurious bed linen,... more
