Abundance of welcoming smiles from the Irwin's, helping to make you feel comfortable and at home. Definitely a home away from home for me with all the comforts. Everything at your fingertips for your convenience. NOTHING overlooked. Kitchen amenities great. All the cottages comfortably warm, even hot water bottles for extra heat if you need. Decor beautiful! You are taken... More

Rosevale Cottages. Home away from home. Beautiful on the outside and in. All the modern conveniences in historic, individual cottages. The farm is near Crawfordsburn in Northern Ireland. Nearby Carnalea has a train station that provides access from Bangor to Belfast and beyond. The hosts, Ann and David Irwin, could not be nicer. Guaranteed, if you stay at Rosevale once,... More

We stayed in Davy's cottage - mother, daugher, husband and baby - and had a great time. The owners were considerate (didn't let the lovely, but big, dog out when the baby was around) and did all they could to make us comfortable (added an extra bed for our stay). The cottage was clean and though a tad basic, we... More

We rented three cottages for two weeks for a family reunion/wedding. We came from Canada, Scotland and New Zealand and we all loved staying at Rosevale Cottages. It was our first time in Northern Ireland and we greatly appreciated all the kindness we received from Anne and David. We were sad to leave! The cottages are charming on the outside,... More

My aunt, brother and I stayed for a week in Annie's cottage and it was beyond our expectations. It's from an Irish fairy tale - the zig zag road leading to the farm surrounds you with close cut hedges. Turn the corner and the farm greets you - a Roisin cow to the left, goats to the right and maybe... More

Later this year we will travel from Australia for the fourth time to stay at Rosevale Farm Cottages. We particularly liked the quiet secluded location where we would watch pheasants strut across the fields, see jackdaws gather round the chimney pots and hear the cows graze in the early morning. We spent many hours wandering along the North Down Coastal... More

My parents have stayed here a number of times and finally my husband and I were able to stay at the Rosevale Farm Cottages too. It was absolutely beautiful. Our cottage was called "Primrose Cottage" and it was exactly like something in "The Quiet Man" movie. Painted white with a half-door, turf fire, lovely kitchen and separate dining area. King... More

NORTHERN IRELAND - This latest trip to "Rosevale Farm Cottages" was approximately my '9th' stay. I consider the cottages my second home, planning my return trip before I depart for home, Orlando, Florida. I have, in the past, stayed at other cottages in Ireland, but absolutely none can compare to "Rosevale". The non-working farm is a perfect location for a... More

Home comforts in traditional Irish cottages. Rosevale Farm Cottages provide ideal self-catering accommodation in a country setting close to the coast of North Down.
