We stayed here for a week and we were very impressed with the sheer professionalism with which this little gem of a hotel is run. The owners were extremely accommodating, the rooms were comfortable and well-appointed and the food was very good and reasonably-priced. Ken deserves a special mention for his enthusiasm in the kitchen. It is refreshing to stay... More

We would consider the "Spindrift" Guest House to be one of the most friendly and professionally managed accommodation we have ever stayed in ! On entry, in the large reception hall, one is given a warm welcome by the proprietors, Ken and Christine. Shown the layout of the dining room with sparkling white linen table covers. Into the relaxing lounge... More

We stayed here while playing golf in nearby St. Andrews (about 10 miles away). The room was clean and very modern, and the food was some of the best we had on our vacation. The owners made us feel very comfortable and it is obvious that they have been doing this a long time.

We stayed here as part of two small group tours in August, 2011. The first was three nights for an Edinburgh Tattoo experience. There had been a mix up in our arrival date so we couldn't join the group in Edinburgh. Ken and Christine contacted us via email explaining that it was complicated and time consuming to get to Anstruther... More

Stayed a few times now on business. Always a warm welcome. Lovely house and spotlessly clean. Superb breakfast. Comfy rooms, attention to detail excellent. Bathrooms excellent, and a proper shower.... ! Good location, and ideal for discovering the area. Good choice of local hostelries ranging from Chippies to Fine dining (all v good) Recommended.

Having experienced several B&Bs, Hotels and Guest Houses I think that we can honestly say that we have never received such care and attention from our hosts. Ken and Christine have certainly raised the bar as far as hospitality is concerned. From the moment that we arrived we were made most welcome and given the time to show us around... More

Hello, The Spindrift was previously "Lindeen" a family home owned by the Gardner Family for a number of years after the second world war. Alec and Rachel Gardner raised my father, Robert his brother David and five sisters, Jessie, Rachel, Annie, Ella and Bertha. During the drive home from their honeymoon in England my mother and father had a terrible... More

What a lovely B&B. VERY high standards throught and attention to every detail. Chrisitine greeted us and introduced herself warmly on arrival and showed us around the lovely homely sitting room and dining room before showing us our very well appointed rooms. Breakfast provided a vast choice of everything possible and outshone some of the much more expensive hotels and... More

We stayed at The Spindrift for 4 nights over Easter. It was a very cold Easter but lovely and warm in The Spindrift - for many reasons. The owners and other staff were really friendly. Our room was very comfortable and very clean and there was a great supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. Breakfasts were amazing - almost anything... More
