I stayed at Caiplie House whilst walking along the Fife Coastal Path in December 2011. It is situated in the High Street and close to the harbour and all the shops. What I liked most about my stay was the great sleep I had after a day walking around in the bracing December breeze. I lay on my bed for... More

I recently stayed at Caiplie House in Crail's High Street. Its location is ideal being near to the coach stops, pubs and shops. Caiplie House was very welcoming indeed. The room was more than adequate. There was plenty of coffee and tea and the facilities were on suite. At breakfast, I received a warm welcome from Helen, the manageress, who cooked... More

Although Finlay is a good host, his B&B could be improved upon. The decor of the place really needs updating, as it is really tired looking & the breakfast was small. One room we used was extremely small - supposedly a double, but there is NO WAY 2 people could've used this room. My tip would be to ask for... More

A B&B that requires some tender loving care and a bit of a spruce up. It is currently up for sale as the owner has done this for 10 years. Finlay is a very nice man and makes you welcome. We had Room 2 which was not the best but it did have a very comfortable bed and faced out... More

We had such a good weekend last year we came back ,this time with the family. We had 3 rooms all with en suite showers & TV. Again we were made very welcome by Finlay and the staff and the 2 children enjoyed having their own room. A special treat was the delicious dinner that was designed to suit our... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night while hiking the Fife Coastal Path. The host was friendly and recommended some places to go in Crail. The room was nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty. Would recommend for a good night's sleep while passing through. More

Welcoming and very clean with good food and well appointed rooms. Mein host is very efficient and helpful and not at all pushy. Dog welcome too without difficulty. I had never heard of Crail and it was serendipity that we stayed here but what a beautiful, quiet, utterly charming town/village it is. More

4 of us stayed for 2 nights and found the rooms clean and bright. Especially the attic room which was lovely. Food was good and service very friendly. Crail is a lovely little town with nice walks and we were fortunate to have some lovely weather. More
