stayed here by chance, my girlfriends and i were celebrating my birthday, fantastic host Neil, picked us all up from the ferry and whisked us to his lovely secluded guesthouse. ( he was wearing his yellow kilt ) rooms were comfortable and imaculate. The local pub was interesting and we met all the locals! breakfast set us all up for... more

Basic, one bathroom which was used by everyone and you had to search to find. Host! not sure where he came from but he had a lot to say but forgot the basics. The house and facilities were old and tierd and I wonder how they pass basic H&S regulations. breakfast arrangements, what can I say poor, greasy and slow... more

We stayed for two nights as a rest on our long cycle for Carlisle to Inverness. The house itself is claen and nicely furnished. I had been sold on the place by the idea of somewhere quiet, with a family atmosphere and good food that I'd read on the internet. In the event we got back one night at 11... more

We were met by the host (Neil) who was actually very negative and tended to talk a bit too much! We got the impression that he was trying too hard, and was perhaps on the way to a nervous breakdown! As with previous comments, the road there was very bumpy and so would not be a good idea if you... more

Breakfast was excellent and central Brodick is 2 mins in the car away. The ONLY down point is the road up to the house, which is absolutely fine apart from after dark, when it's an... more

Gorgeous large farmhouse and gardens conveniently close to ferry port in Brodick. We arrived later than expected (around 9.30pm) and phoned to check this was OK and thankfully the host was most obliging. We were given a quick tour of the room and invitation to borrow a film from the vast video collection (what's a video???!!) and then left to... more

Clean rooms in a nice big farmhouse. Breakfast was disorganised despite the hosts imposing a requirement to start at 8:30am for full cooked breakfast. Unlit, pot-holed road to farmhouse was a real pain. Location is fine and neaby Ormidale Hotel is great for food and drink. more

My wife and I booked with only a few days to go so Niel asked for cash only, that was OK. The place is immaculate, the breakfasts are great. But will only be supplied at 8.30am. This is because Neil is trying to create a certain atmosphere, this is fine if you are on Hols, but if on business could... more
