We have spend first week of our three weeks Scotland holiday on Arran of which the first four nights in Glenartney hotel. It was definitely one of the best B&B that we have encountered during this time.. Great location in vicinity of the centre, lovely room, tasty breakfast and friendly and hospitable hosts. And what we have appreciated… it is... more

Title says it all really, we've been there 3 times now (and heading off for annual pilgrimmage this weekend) and Robbie and Angela couldn't be better hosts. Great breakfasts as well (scots breakfast sausages are often beef, not pork, for the benefit of the earlier whiner), really clean and lovely rooms. The only rating I have marked the Glenartney down... more

We were greeted with a friendly welcome and tour of the B&B. The communal rooms are really homely with a contemporary feel, packed full of useful info about the island. Our room was beautifully appointed, well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast was substantial and tasty, just what is needed before a long walk, bike or climb. Glenartney is the perfect base... more

Two nights B&B at the Glenartney...why did this experience just NOT come up to scratch? It's true the Guest House/Hotel has splendid public areas and is in an easy accessed part of lovely Brodick but our room was small...tricky to move with three adults and two cases!...with NO "outstanding views" we obviously didn't pay enough...more on that subject later. The... more

We are really sorry to hear that The Glenartney did not meet the expectations of the reviewer and only wish that any concerns had been expressed at the time so that we could have tried to make their stay more enjoyable. The ‘formulaic’ arrival information ensures that everyone is given the information needed to enjoy their time with us. We...

I stayed here with my wife when we were on honeymoon. The place is clean and quite modern. It is slighly back from the front at Brodick and so is nice and quiet. We were met by the owner on arrival and he was very friendly and welcoming. There is a bar which is quite well stocked with local drinks,... more

I stayed at the GLENERTNEY from June 1st to 4th, 2009. That was solo trip(I'm a asian female), but completely safe there. When I got there by a taxi from the pier of Brodick, lovely exterior, garden, and a sweet dog came into my eyes, I thought that it's defenetly succesful choice. The dog greeted me 'Hello' with fathful expression, the... more

There is tea & coffee available in one of the lounges all day & they are happy to fill a flask for you. Breakfast was delicious and very generous. I would stay here again... more

A great place to stay and very organised. Our booking was confirmed by email within a few hours of calling. The family have done a great job on the house which makes it a very pleasant place to stay. I'd say they've maintained the best elements of a good B&B whilst offering hotel quality. Some real vote winners - the... more

Having been to Arran many times before, this time we decided to look for a hotel / guest house close to the centre of Brodick, that would take dogs! We were first of all impressed by Glenartney's website and by the owners prompt response to our initial contact. At relatively short notice they were able to offer a choice of... more
