I stayed at the Ormidale Hotel in October for 2 nights. I tried calling a few B&Bs in Brodick but they didn't seem to know if they had a vacancy or not???? The others were very expensive and not near the village. We booked the rooms at the Ormidale for 40 quid a night per person including breakfast. We were... more

We visited this hotel with friends for dinner after having a great day out & about on a Saturday and soon wished we hadn't! The pub food was possibly the worst we have experienced in our travels and the bar service was slow, especially as a guy with a moustache stood talking for 20 mins while a younger member of... more

Went to Brodick... more

We were recommended to go here for Arran Beers which we found served to perfection. We found the food good value and the vegetarians amongst us found a real choice of dishes. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the greenhouse/conservatory and were quite happy with the down to earth seating etc. The owner was helpful and our food was served in... more

The dining area was a look into a dance hall from the past. Iffy wiring dingy paintwork, poor quality food, certainly not worth the money. We could'nt wait to get out to the fresh air and midges. Stay away from this one and head for the Pier head Tavern in Lamlash...a must for a great island eating experience. more

the staff were the nicest folks you could imagine and the pub is exactly what a pub should be. hiker, locals and tourits all mingle to share stories and music if you are there on the right evening. and the garden is incredible- it inlcudes a huge giant Sequoia Tree! more

We were staying elsewhere and went here for a meal. The tables in the bar could not accommodate 4 for a meal I had to hold my dish. The bar smelled of old cooking and the attitude of the staff unconcerned. The food was far to much money for the standard more

Very nice, traditional old Scottish Hotel. Warm welcome from the owners and staff on arrival and continued through out our 4 night stay. Rooms were fine with a stunning views. It has a lively pub with an impressive green house/conservatory attached and a beautiful beer garden with tree swings and an abundance of red squirrels. Excellent pub food and an... more
