Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We love staying at Seamill Hydro. Always need a sea view of course. Rooms are super. Good gym. Excellent pool+jacuzzi with easy access. Food is always amazing, especially breakfast. £30 afternoon tea is highly recommended too. It's our favourite place to go.

Really enjoyed our stay with friends and family. I would recommend staying at the Seamill Hydro and will very likely return whenever in the area to visit family when we will hopefully be able to make use of the spa facilities.

Lovely location and great views but got food poisoning from the restaurant. Service wasn’t great and got drinks wrong twice before getting the correct ones. Spent the whole evening ill which completely ruined our stay. Husband said the bed was very uncomfortable

Stayed in 3 suites as a group of 6. Views were amazing from the rooms and everything was clean and tidy. Lovely, big bathrooms too. All staff were very helpful, particularly in reception and in the main restaurant. It’s a lovely setting and the food was good. The communal areas in the suite blocks could do with a bit of an update as felt a bit tired but we felt it was still a great value deal that we got. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Would definitely return.

Stayed here for 5 nights just before Christmas. Positives outweigh the negatives. Check in was slightly hectic due to rooms not being ready but that can happen. Suite rooms were spacious and clean. Nice to have a bath after a cold days work. Restaurant was nice food but service was poor on 4 nights out the five. Disappointed. Spa facilities were small but well maintained and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and plentiful. No complaints there. Would use again if in the vicinity.

I brought my daughter here for her big birthday and we had a great stay and enjoyed the sea view from our window and great room service. The pool is fantastic and loved the little spinner to dry your costume and did not need to carry a wet costume about. Staff were all great and so very pleasant and helpful. I am sure we will be back again

Room was nice, food was good but the waiter named John who served us had some sort of issue going on,slamming down menus and walking at 100mph,our room was nice but the TV was android and we were told it wasn't, didn't even have free view and we couldn't watch anything on the TV, I was recently in a travelodge and I had a better stay tbh for a fifth of the price, won't be coming back.
