Stayed here for one night on our way up to Scotland. Reception staff were very welcoming. The room was fine for an overnight stop. We went into Crawfordjohn (just a short drive away) to the local pub for our evening meal. Freshly cooked food very reasonably priced. My husband was tempted by the offer of a discounted price which was... more

Stayed here for one night while traveling down the M74. The hotel is contained within Abington Services. Given its location I found the hotel to be very quiet. The staff on reception were very welcoming and helpful. Parking it in the services car park - they take your reg at reception to avoid you being charged. Upon entering the room... more

This hotel was not great at all - it wasn't horrible, just a little damp/dank feeling. You have to pay for the internet, which, isn't the end of the world, just a little annoying. The hotel is right next to a mega gas station which has coffee places, some lite shopping, a temporarily closed Burger King. Breakfast isn't free and... more

This hotel has no pretensions other than simple clean facilities. Located an hour south of Glasgow and Edinburgh it gave me a convenient place to stop during a business trip. Staff are pleasant. Room was well maintained - I stayed in the so-called Executive Suite but, unless you want a 'fridge and iron, don't bother. TV channel choice is very... more

My husband and I stayed for one night at the Days Inn Abington in Spetmber 07 on our way up to Murrayfield to watch Scotland v New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup. When we booked we were looking for something cheap and cheerful about an hour or so from Edinburgh, but our usual choices (Travelodge, Premier Inn etc) were... more

Stayed there in August 2006 on the way back to Edinburgh after 2 weeks' holiday down South. Very easy to find. Check in was efficient. Reception staff was friendly. However, good bit finishes here. As soon as we opened the door , strong damp smell hit us which we could not locate where it was coming from. Generally, the room... more

You get what you pay for with a days inn. We paid £39 and got a fine room with a good bathroom. Nice tea facilities, good TV with Sky sports, handy for the England game, and a comfortable bed, something i appreciate more fater my trip to Scotland, having experienced some others! We also had a great view! Location wise.... more

we stay at this motel every year on our way up from devon to the scottish highlands. it accepts our large, active german shepherd (for which there is no charge) we usually book the ground floor executive rooms (as it is easier with the dog) price varies from £50-£60 for a room reception is bright and always friendly, prompt check... more

I stay here often when travelling to Scotland. OK it's a fairly standard service area budget hotel but it's pretty good all the same. The setting is actually quite picturesque with the surrounding hills and you have the service area facilities close at hand (though they tend to close early - around 10.00pm). The rooms are a decent size, clean... more
