Firstly the decor of the B&B is extremely garish, with every surface covered in doilies and ornaments, flock wallpaper, floral duvet cover and divan etc . However I know this is a matter of taste and is not necessarily a negative point about this B&B as some people might like it. Secondly the breakfast we received was worryingly below standard.... more

My husband and I loved this friendly place. The room was comfortable, with all amenities provided +, including fresh flowers every day. This B&B was clean and country quaint with a feeling of home. Stromness is a lovely town and everything was in walking distance, Venus Hourston being only a 2-minute walk from the ferry dock. At night there were... more
