We booked this place from Wick (further south on the mainland) because we were going to be getting into the village of St. Margaret's Hope in the early evening and so wanted to be settled.
What a good choice it was! We stayed for one night, went further up island to another place for two nights (unfortunately) and then came back here for our 4th night on the island, before we went back to the mainland.
This is a great B & B. It is small, so there aren't that many people in it. With the rooms at the front, you get a view of the water and the countryside. The hostess can tell you lots about the island and some of the history, the rooms are immaculate (2 are en-suite) and spacious and the breakfast is also good.
Since the island is relatively small, it is easy and fast to get around - so you are not really that far from anything.
We would certainly stay here again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
