Sets a gold-standard for bunkhouses - recently built, clean, underfloor heating, log stove! Two self-contained cottages looked pretty cozy too.

The owner is an outdoors enthusiast - pictures of alpine climbs on the walls etc - who runs a kayaking business in conjunction with the bunkhouse - We had a great trip on the River Tay - our guide/instructor really helped us - and he does sea kayaking too I believe.

It is handy too - literally next door to a pub and 10 mins walk just over the River Tay from Aberfeldy - a pretty town on edge of the Scottish Highlands which as a great bookshop/cafe at The Watermill. more
