We arrived mid afternnon, and greeted by a lovely smile from this landlady. We had the "Glenfidich" room, lovely veiw, comfortable and spotless en-suite. Dinner was excellent and beter that many hotels I have stayed in. A most enjoyable stay, and worthy of Hotel status. This is an old house. The room was tiny, carpet seemed dirty. Couples of bugs and spiders on the ceiling. Honnestly, I felt like I slept in my grand mother's room...and my grand mother had die here! Creepy! There is not much as of good food in the village also, avoid the restaurant "the fountain!" At least the welcome is... more

The room was amazing, the hosts were fantastic, the bed was very very comfortable...the bathroom was great, and the room had everything we needed and more. We also got a great hint to visit Sterling Castle on the way to Edinburgh. The breakfast was to die for and will be remembered as when of the best meals of our entire... more

Stunning views from our bedroom window. Easy access for walks, mountaineering and bike riding, which we love to do. Family were all very hospitable, nothing too much trouble. Very clean and tidy. We will DEFINITELY be going back. more
